There's nothing on a server to delete
GI AI has no account and no server, so we hold nothing of yours to delete and there's no request to send us. What you log is kept in the app's private storage on your phone.
To delete everything on your phone: uninstall the app
Uninstalling GI AI removes everything it stored on your phone. GI AI is left out of Android's cloud backup and phone-to-phone transfer, so no copy is left there either.
To clear data but keep the app
Settings has two options.
- Settings → Danger Zone → Clear All Data (type
DELETEto confirm) deletes every entry, your medication list, all settings, all saved photos, foods you imported or added yourself, and any export copies the app still has waiting to be shared. It also cancels every scheduled reminder. The only thing it keeps is the built-in USDA food list, which is public reference data, not yours. This has been checked on a real phone: afterwards, History and Insights were empty and no reminders were left scheduled. - Settings → History Management → Clear History deletes your logged entries, any sample data, and the summaries made from them. It keeps your medication list, your settings and your photos.
If you saved a backup first (Settings → Backup & Transfer), importing it brings back your entries and medication list. Photos and settings aren't in the backup file, so they don't come back after Clear All Data.
Files you exported yourself
Backups, doctor reports and CSV tables you saved or shared are ordinary files. Deleting the app doesn't remove them. Delete them from wherever you put them, like any other file.
Health Connect
GI AI only reads from Health Connect and never writes to it, so it hasn't added anything there to delete. Clear All Data doesn't change your Health Connect permissions. To stop GI AI reading, remove its access in Android's Health Connect settings (Health Connect → App permissions → GI AI).
