A private diary for your gut.
Log food, stool, medications, water, sleep and how you feel. GI AI rolls it up by day, week and month, on your phone. There's no account and no server, and GI AI doesn't have permission to use the internet.
For adults 18 and over, on Android 8.0 and later. The on-device AI features need a phone that supports Gemini Nano, such as recent Pixels.

What it does, plainly
GI AI reports what you logged. It won't make up a pattern to fill a screen.
-
Stays on your phone
Your entries live in the app's private storage on your phone. GI AI doesn't have permission to use the internet, so Android won't let it send anything anywhere. There's no account, no server and no analytics. Nothing from the app goes into Android's cloud backup or phone-to-phone transfer, and deleting the app deletes the data.
-
Honest insights
Totals and patterns are worked out by fixed rules from what you logged. It waits for about 30 logged days before it compares anything, and when it finds nothing, it tells you so.
-
A report for your doctor
A printable page with your stool log, symptom surveys, medication log and how complete your logging was. Save it to a folder on your phone or share it, then print it or save it as a PDF. Any single table can also be saved to a folder as a CSV file. The report contains no AI-written text.
-
Photos and amounts, checked first
On supported phones, the on-device AI can read the food from a photo of your meal and suggest a count and a portion size: small, regular, large or extra large. Type it instead, like "a large coffee" or "12 wings", and your own words set the count and size. Either way, a confirm box shows what it found and lets you change it, and nothing is saved until you confirm. The meal photo is deleted once the food is logged.
-
Health Connect, read-only
If you want, it can read sleep, water, steps and calories burned that your watch or other apps recorded. It never writes anything back. With a calorie goal set, it shows a rough balance of calories eaten against calories burned, labelled as an estimate.
How it works
-
Log your day
Food, stool on the Bristol scale, medications, water, sleep, and symptom and mood check-ins.
-
See it rolled up
Day, Week and Month summaries, worked out by fixed rules from your own entries.
-
Take it to your doctor
A printable report and CSV tables, made from what you logged.
Where the AI fits, and where it doesn't
On supported phones, GI AI uses Google's Gemini Nano, which runs on the phone itself. It does three jobs. Everything else in the app works without it.
-
Rewords your summary
It turns the Day, Week or Month summary into readable sentences, and marks it "AI wording".
-
Reads a meal photo
It picks out the food on the plate and suggests a count and a portion size, so you don't have to type it. You confirm what it found before anything is saved.
-
Picks out foods you type
On supported phones it also picks out the foods in a note like "toast and coffee". On other phones, fixed rules do that.
The AI suggests; you approve; the app does the math. Any count or size the AI suggested is marked with a *, and if you change it, it's yours and the * goes. The AI never makes up a calorie number, a total or a pattern: those are worked out by fixed rules, and calories are always shown as a rough estimate.
Also in the app
- Medication reminders: up to four reminder times a day, a dose amount, and logging a half, single or double dose.
- Stool photos, kept: a photo on a stool entry stays with that entry, so you can show it to a doctor.
- Moving phones: Backup & Transfer saves your log to a file that you import on the new phone.
